Within the media industry there is always a producer and director. The director is in charge of the production of; the film, the game or the radio station that is being created. In film the director makes sure that the actor is following the script. Sometimes when scenes are being filmed the director will want numerous takes so that the shot and the acting is what he/she is looking for. The director will often work with the script writer just in case there are things to be changed. After filming the director will sit down with editor and they will discuss what they are going to change and add. He or she have creative control of their film and can input various ideas when agreed with others. The Director would work closely with all members of the production so that everything is at the standard he/she wants.

Managers often contact employees to remind them of deadlines and events so they are on top of their work. Within radio stations managers and producers will make sure that the presenter keep to a schedule and they will make sure the content is appropriate. The main aim of a manager is to make the business successful by supporting the employees in a professional way.
